Aquarium soil powder is used when planning a new aquarium. The fine-grained active substrate is particularly suitable for foreground plants—see how to use it here.

  • Aquarium soil powder is a complete active substrate, which can be used without any other type of substrate.
  • The attractive grain size makes it suitable for foreground plants.
  • Aquarium soil powder ensures healthy growth and stimulates color development.

How to use the product

Aquarium soil powder ensures healthy, active growth from the start and enhances the red color of plants. It is an all-in-one substrate that can be used without any other substrate. It is also an effective substrate that lowers pH and minimally affects water chemistry.

We recommend changing 25-50% of the water at least twice a week during the first four weeks after setting up the tank.

How do I calculate the amount of soil or soil powder needed for my tank?

  • Measure the length and width of your closet in centimeters, for example 90 x 60 cm.
  • Determine the thickness of the bottom layer you want, for example 8 cm.
  • Make the layer thicker towards the back wall for a great visual effect!
  • The calculation to do is length x width x layer divided by 1000.

In our example, 90 x 60 x 8/1000 = 43.2 liters of soil/soil powder required.
